Who Is Kindling Consulting?
My name is Nikki Johnston
I’m a serial builder who’s worn more name-badges than I can count—event planner, entrepreneur, touring professional, healthcare executive, and a few titles that don’t fit neatly on a business card. Each role gave me a front-row seat to every flavor of business: the dazzling wins, the face-palm failures, and the “please-don’t-tell-my-mother” lessons.
Across all those chapters, one truth refused to budge:
Culture is the bedrock.
If it’s shaky, every process you layer on top eventually cracks.
That insight powers Kindling Consulting. I partner with small organizations to accomplish two things in tandem:
-
Scale smart operations—so growth feels like momentum, not mayhem.
-
Ignite a people-first culture—so the success you build actually sticks.
Why Kindling Has Two Practice Lines
During my healthcare chapter I was pulled head-first into the world of advanced wound care—hyperbarics, skin substitutes, the works—and I never looked back. The mix of clinical innovation, reimbursement complexity, and life-changing patient outcomes became a personal passion project.
So, Kindling grew two branches from one trunk:
The frameworks are identical—Spark → Flame → Scale—but the toolkits differ. One fuels general business momentum; the other zeroes in on wound-care profitability and patient impact.
Whether I’m mapping a five-site rollout, untangling messy workflows, or coaching leaders on micro-culture design, the goal doesn' waver: spark the small shifts that turn into a sustainable flame.
If you’re ready to grow without losing the soul of your business, let’s strike the match together.
